Disappointed by the inner zip downgrade
"As a loyal Patagonia fan, I’ve been using the older generation 6L and 10L Black Hole Cubes on a weekly basis for years. I absolutely loved the original design and reliability. I recently picked up the new 14L Cube to complete my set. While sizing changes come down to personal preference, I want to share some honest user feedback on a design update that really puzzle me: -- Single Inner Zipper Slider: The older generation featured dual zipper pulls on the internal dividers, making access quick and balanced. The new version switches to a single zipper pull. --Inconvenient on Larger Volumes: For a cube as large as 14L, having a single zipper pull means you have to run the track all the way around just to reach something on the opposite side. It feels frustrating and impractical in daily use. -- Cost-Cutting vs. User Experience: Removing the dual zipper feels like a cost-saving measure at the expense of functionality. As a core user, I would much rather pay a bit more for the double pullers than compromise on convenience. Patagonia originally had an incredible design here. I truly hope the product team listens to real-world user feedback and brings back the dual inner zipper system in future iterations. Still a big supporter of the brand, but hoping to see a return to functional details!"
